This is a lined beanie from 2XU. I do a fair amount of cold weather bike commuting, and I thought this would fill the gap between my unlined beanie, which I wear when it's below 45 down into the upper 30's, and a balaclava, which I wear when it gets down to 32. I've worn it a couple times, and it does a good job. Fits well, works under my helmet, stays in place, and keeps me warm but not too hot when the temp is in the 30's. I overheat pretty easily, so I wouldn't wear this if the temp was above 45. Of course, it doesn't keep your neck warm so for me it probably has a limited temperature range.
