Good insulated pants. Warm, quiet, but it desperately needs more pockets. Seriously. It only has hip pockets. These are hunting pants, for crying out loud! Hunters need storage. It is indeed waterproof. I hunted all day in a constant down poor. I just wish my boots were as water proof as these pants. I stayed dry except for my feet.

I figured at this price point it can't be that great... but much to my surprise it is! I ordered the Medium and I normally wear a 32 in jeans and the fit was just right. There is a little more room for some thermals underneath but that's about it. Read the size guide and if you're on the upper end of a size then go one larger so you can layer as these are un-insulated.

The reason I went with these is I wanted a waterproof layer. I trudged through rain for about 4 hours in the first Iowa shotgun season in December of last year and was frozen solid because of it. I had a waterproof jacket and it held up great but was very noisy. These pants are considerably quieter than my jacket so I bought the matching jacket ( Native Species Men's Thunderhawk Insulated Jacket ) and was very pleased.

**Bottom Line: These are quality waterproof un-insulated pants at a price point anyone can afford.

For the money, this is very good pant. It is roomy, water proof, and the suspenders make it particularly nice. Were it a bit warmer, I would have given 5 stars. In fairness, the description did not mention it being warm.

I bought this in conjunction with the Thunderhawk Parka, and the two work very well together. I would recommend to friends or family.
