I love this jacket. The pool blue/black color is beautiful. I love how versatile it is, with the long sleeves that can be unzipped to make a short sleeved jacket/jerey. I am an petite 5'2" woman. I usually wear small or medium cycling jerseys depending on the chest measurement, and they are loose. This jacket is far too snug. I ordered a medium, it is too tight all over we are talking bike short tight. I am going to order a large and hope it is big enough. Might have to get extra large????!!!! I'll let you know.

I'm a casual bike commuter in Alaska. By that, I mean I bike all over town during the summer but not during the winter. I tried on *every single one* of the biking jackets -both women's and men's -that they had for sale up here in REI, and the only one that came even close to fitting was the men's version of this. They don't stock the women's version for some reason, so I got it from here instead.

Bottom line: I'm more or less hourglass shaped and this jacket's fit is both flattering and comfortable. I also have rather long arms and the sleeves are the perfect length for me. The whole thing stays put where it should be when I reach forward, up, etc. The fabric is flexible but sturdy -feels like a real soft shell jacket, not one of those other flimsy, plasticky things I tried on.

The sleeves each have two zips -front and back -and if you remove them the jacket turns into a short-sleeve jacket instead of a vest. I was initially skeptical of those built-in sleeves, but I'm thoroughly used to it now and can't complain at all. The jacket (sleeves on) has been warm enough for commuting in 40 50-degree weather with no other layers on beneath. It does a very good job of blocking wind.

I like to wear the short-sleeve version for extra visibility, even when it's hot. It breathes well enough that with the front zip open, I can still maintain a moderate pace on 80-degree days with no problem.

The color is true to the image -almost painfully bright but much more attractive than 99% of the other bright yellow/yellow-green jackets out there. The only thing I missed is having a hood. If this thing had a hood that could fit beneath a bike helmet, it'd be PERFECT. As it is, I'd give it 4.5 or 4.75 star rating... since that is not an option I am rounding up to 5 because aside from the missing hood, I -lovethis jacket.

ONE NOTE: Because of how the sleeves attach, the arm/body interface around the shoulder looks like it won't be completely impervious to really foul weather (strong gusts, rain, etc). That said I've been out in some very windy conditions and been perfectly comfortable, so overall I'd say it still does great.

I like everything about it except one thing!

First, things I like: I am totally visible at all times with the neon yellow color. It's wind-proof for sure! Keeps me rather warm although it's very thin. I think I will go through winter with this and the right base layers.

The thing I don't like is that the sleeves' zipper is half open after every ride! It's rather annoying.
