Very tough, protective and well thought out. For example, the loop attachment at the palm-side base is a thoughtful assist in putting on the glove. One "problem", it takes a lot to wear these in to a perfect fit. The Kevlar does not stretch a whole lot. NOT a criticism (hence the quotation marks). It's kevlar; resistance to wear = resistance to break-in and is to be expected. Anyone buying these gloves will know what I mean and factor it in. And if you are buying these gloves, you WILL break them in. They are an altogether superior product.

They are good gloves, but they only lasted me a little less then a month. I put them to the test, and after 3 weeks of my work, they were all tore up. They are great gloves, but they should be priced at a lower price, and maybe just not the best gloves for work, just style.

I shopped around for good gloves and was concerned about what I read, and others out here experienced, regarding the Wiley X gloves. No HD tactical glove is designed to last forever but should survive abuse for an entire 7 month deployment. These gloves fit as the sizing charts depict, are comfortable around the knuckles which is important, and are re-enforced in the correct locations for fire arms handling. After looking hard at the Oakley and Wiley X I believe I made the right call with the Blawkhawk HD Fury. On an administrative note: The Amazon link I purchased from advertised that what I ordered was Kevlar, but what actually arrived from Optics Planet was NOMEX. Normally I return things that are not what I ordered but have no issue with NOMEX vs Kevlar for my application. Both provide fire protection and are strong enough for rigorous use. If Kevlar vs NOMEX matters to you I recommend that you inquire about what the seller will actually ship before you purchase. At the end of the day you will be satisfied with these gloves.

I have the 5.11 Scene One glove and I wanted to try something with more substantial knuckle protection. However, you don't get that here. Despite looking very aggressive the knuckle plate is just a thin flimsy material with no padding on the back. If you hit something with your fist you're going to feel every bit of it as if you had just hit it with your bare hand.

Under some fairly light use (shifting cinder blocks, loading wood planks) the fabric portion of the glove has started to fray. After just a few closed hand pushups the front knuckle plate has significant deep scratching, as do the little nubs that run along the top of the fingers. I used foam and gorilla tape to make them more useful but that is kinda silly, I'll probably toss them once my new 5.11 Atacs come.

I do like that the glove is a tight fit. And if you're primarily interested in looking good these may not be a bad choice because they do look quite intimidating. Just don't hit anything or actually use them to move anything heavy--think of them as dress gloves, or very light use, and you'll probably be happy.

Alittle small but was obviously hard to tell proper sizing over the internet. they serve their purpose while on a deployment to afghanistan and you need flame retardant gloves. hold up well so far.
