I have trouble getting hats to fit especially those that are "one size fits all" & I need a chin strap so the hat doesn't blow off. I bought this hat at a local sporting goods store & although it is intended for outdoor activities, it is stylish enough that I wasn't embarrassed to wear it in cities during a recent vacation. While I was on vacation, I received compliments on my hat from 2 strangers and a 3rd one wanted to know if I'd bought it locally. It's light weight & didn't make my head feel too hot on warm days. My only minor complaint is that the brim tends to blow up in windy conditions.

Overall, this is a nice hat. It has several pros, like the different sizes, different colors, nice material, very lightweight, and the detachable chin strap. However, the brim looks very sturdy on the pictures, but it is actually very floppy. I can't stand floppy hats. Also, the fabric of the inner layer of the brim seemed to be bigger than the outer layer, so the inner layer bunched up everywhere. Maybe I just had a "lemon", but I was disappointed by this hat and returned it. If you are looking for a great sunhat, check out the field hat by Sunday Afternoons. It's awesome.

Great hat for sun. Nice that it comes in sizes, so it fits my (big) head instead of just perching on top like those one-size-fits-all hats. The brim is nice and wide and due to the foam layer doesn't flop. The grey underside of the brim does a great job of minimizing glare. The fabric is light-weight and fairly cool. As with all broad-brimmed hats, it looks a bit doofy, but not unreasonably so. I like it a lot.

I really like this hat, because it looks good and keeps the sun off me. It was so fantastic to find a hat that really fits (xl) and is actually washable too! I just wish it were made in the U.S.A., because I really want to buy American products when possible.

I bought this hat for a safari trip in South Africa. It was great; adjustable, lightweight, breathable and shaded my face and back of neck from the sun. Have a big head and a lot of hair, so this hat fit perfectly. Only minor knock is even with strap, it blew off with heavy winds.
