My experience with sunglasses over the past 15 or so years has been exclusively with Oakley sunglasses. I bought these 5.11 Cavu Polarized glasses when I needed sunglasses with polarized lenses just prior to a fishing trip I was going on. I checked with Oakley and found that most if not all of the styles i wear were back ordered. I have had really good luck with 5.11 products, so I didn't have an issue trying something new, especially from a company that I really like. My sunglasses arrived promptly in two days, came with a nice black molle pouch, and a towel to clean the glasses. Initially I was happy with my purchase, these glasses are well built, sturdy, but a tad heavier than what I'm used to. I wore these glasses exclusively for the next month, then one day my son asked why I had little black specks on my nose? I looked in the mirror and sure enough I had black bits of plastic on the bridge of my nose. I looked at the sunglasses and noticed the nose piece is disintegrating! Literally scaling off bit by bit. Then I looked at the ear pieces and found that the 5.11 labeling had smudged off, and the rubber like material is also breaking down. The thing that gets me is the nose piece and ear pieces are not replaceable (like Oakelys) so I can't just fix these up. I paid $107 for these glasses and don't feel they are a quality product. Disappointing in deed. Pictures on request.

I recently moved to the UAE and these glasses are amazing. I work outdoors. The polarized lens are great. I have noticed that the rubber around the nose area is fading but I'm going to blame that on wearing them all the time. I've dropped them a number of times and the keep on ticking. Very scratch resistant too. Highly recommend.
